I am Michael McNeil, a software engineering consultant, currently working out of my home office in Scotland with my Welsh Corgi 🐾. I have been a professional software engineer for over ten years, working in several different industries. I am currently consulting at an investment management firm.
I am a full-stack developer who specialises in writing high-performing and scalable applications using .NET Core (and I 💖 using Microsoft Orleans for this!). I also write a lot of React, and lately, I’ve been working in Angular. I have a keen interest in DevOps and automating as much of the software delivery lifecycle as possible, having recently become Microsoft Certified with Azure.
My site features posts about new technologies or techniques that I have learned, as well as tips and tricks that I had to figure out the hard way with trial and error and lots of Stack Overflow searching, in the hope that the solution helps someone else out there!
